with thousands in attendance, strong political support across all government levels, comprehensive media coverage. Our youth leaders contributed greatly into planning and delivery of the events. July 24, 2022 marked five months since Russia embarked on its large scale attack of Ukrainian sovereign territory, further invading a country already beset by war and the illegal annexation of Crimea since 2014. In that time, millions have fled the country or been internally displaced, and tens of thousands of men, women, and children have become victims of a deliberate and barbaric campaign of violence aimed at terrorizing the population: bombardments, missile and artillery strikes, sexual assault, torture, deportation, and execution.
Ukraine is fighting valiantly for its very survival and needs the continued support of the entire world behind her. Our community and our community friends alike rallied together this Sunday in support of Ukraine and to denounce the ongoing terrorism of the Russian state.

The Ukrainian Canadian Congress (UCC) calls on all Canadians to join the #StandWithUkraine campaign and show your support for the Ukrainian peoples’ right to live free and in peace in their own land.
For eight years, the Ukrainian people have bravely defended their country against brutal Russian aggression, as Russia once again seeks to colonize Ukraine. Close to 14,000 people have been killed, over 1.5 million displaced. Today, Russia is massing troops and weapons near Ukraine’s borders and on occupied Ukrainian territory and threatening to invade further into Ukraine.
It should be noted that hundreds would have joined this rally. Due to COVID-19 pandemic and the fifth wave, we deliberately limited the size of the group to keep everyone safe.
